Sharepoint content DIV opacity style RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good morning, I am trying to set the opacity to the background div of my sharepoint site. I am already using the CSS   opacity:0.6;  filter:alpha(opacity=60); but it makes also the content transparent.

Does anyone know a way to avoid this and make only the background transparent?

    Thanks a lot,

    Renato

  • Hi Renato,

This is more of a CSS type question. SharePoint doesn't have anything to do with it. You'll probably get more response if you post it on a CSS related forum.

Anyways, I believe what you're seeing is just how it works. However, to get the effect you're looking for, you'll need to use 2 div tags. Treat the first one as background image container and apply opacity to that one only. And, add your contents on the 2nd div. This way the contents will not be transparent.

    Hope that helps...

  • Make sure you set background-color and not color.
