Unhandled exception in System.data.dll RRS feed

  • Question

  • Visual Studio (C#)

    An unhandled exception of type 'System.AccessViolationException'
    occurred in System.Data.dll

    at conn.GetOleDbSchemaTable()

    Additional Information: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This
    is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

    DataTable dt = new DataTable();

    OleDbConnection conn = new OleDbConnection();

    conn.ConnectionString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;data source=I:\\Students.mdb"

    ;

    conn.Open();

    dt = conn.GetOleDbSchemaTable(OleDbSchemaGuid.Tables, new object[] { null, null, null, "TABLE"

    });

     This error only appears in XP (32 bit). It works fine in Vista (32 bit) and Windows 7 (32 bit).

    Thanks,

    Imran
