StoreManifest.xml or SoftwareManifest.xml RRS feed

  • Question

  • After submitting a Mobile Broadband Metadata, we'd like to add the StoreManifest.xml with ExperienceId to the Store App. According to this link:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/dn247050.aspx

"On the Windows Dev Center hardware dashboard, on the manage experience page for your service metadata package, click the service metadata package, and then click StoreManifest.xml to download your store manifest file."

But contrary to what indicates the page what you get from that link is a SoftwareManifest.xml file. So, my question, is it OK to add this SotfwareManifest.xml to the App store package from now on or do we still have to use a StoreManifest.xml?

Either way, the information provided in the page should be amended.

    Thanks,

    Rubén.

  • Thanks for bringing this to our attention. You are right, the file seems to be misnamed: the contents is valid though. Please rename the downloaded to "StoreManifest.xml" before packaging this with you application. We will have a fix out as soon as possible.

  • Is it a requirement that name of the Store manifest file should be StoreManifest.xml for WSDA? Any feedback?
