ADLS Connection Manager - Connection string in expression for SSIS in SSDT.

    Question

  • Hi,

    We are trying to pass dynamic connection string to ADLS connection manager (source) by using ADLS connection manager from SSIS, it is failing. However when we give it values manually in Connection manager property with password, it is working fine in SSDT and once deployed the password is going off in Integration Catalogs in Azure DSVM.

    We are passing the connection string as below:

    "WebHdfsHost=abcdef.azuredatalakestore.net;WebHdfsPort=443;WebHdfsUserName=abcd.xyz@abcd.com;WebHdfsPassword=abcdef;WebHdfsAuthType=AzureADUserIdentity;WebHdfsDomain=;WebHdfsIsHttps=True".

    Results: It is neither working in SSDT tool nor in Integration Catalogs in SSMS, if we are trying to pass as expression.

    Can you please let us know where is the issue with connection strings or what could be the alternatives?

    Thanks in advance.

Answers

  • Hi,

    We have resolved this issue by adding one more parameter on SSIS project parameter as Password and updates the password string and made it Sensitive true.

    In expression, there is a WebHdfsPassword property then we passed that parameter to that property and it worked successfully.

    Thanks..happy coding :)
