Are QR readers similar to Barcode readers programmatically? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am developing a C# application that will integrate the use of a barcode reader and possibly a QR reader. I understand that  QR code is but a 2D barcode. I have researched in depth about reading barcodes in .Net using C# and concluded that since most recent barcode readers are similar to keyboards in functionality, I don't need fancy code. That all I need is to make the textbox be in focus and scan the barcode. My question lies in the same, do QR readers act in the same way as barcode readers during input or am I to write code to instantiate the QR reader and take data when it's captures it?

Thanks in advance for your help.
