HTTP Context Variables RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm migrating a legacy application, csharp, to a docker container in AWS.  The application uses a SQL Server back end and the SQL connection is made via SQL Auth.

The application itself uses the values returned by, HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables["REMOTE_USER"], to validate if the user has access to the application.

This value appears to be null/emptystring when viewing from with the container.  I've researched on the net, but am unable to find a way to set this value for use in the applicaiton.

This is show stopper if we are unable to do this.

Any suggestions/ideas welcome.  We would like to keep the code change to a minimum as we have quite a few applications that will follow this pattern.
