Missing Local Database Cache template

Question

I have just installed VS2012 Ultimate after uninstalling VS2012RC. There are templates missing.

The Local Database Cache template is not included in the list, and all the Windows Store project templates are also missing.

Where do I find these templates? Can I download them from somewhere?

I am sorry that I can reproduce your issue on my machine, I can't find the Local Database Cache template in my VS2012 Ultimate either even though it indicates that is supported in this MSDN article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb882690.aspx I think you can submit one feedback on the Microsoft Connect site here: https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/CreateFeedback.aspx
Once you finished it, please post here the URL, I will help you vote it.

And for the Windows Store Project issue, I can find it in my VS2012 Ultimate on Windows 8 machine. So I think you need to install your VS2012 on Windows 8 machines in order to use it.

I have read that web page. My problem is that I am unable to complete step 2 as there is no "Local Database Cache" template in the list. In fact, there are no Database templates of any kind installed. I have run "devenv.exe /InstallVSTemplates" but this has made no difference. I have reset all my settings to the C# defaults, and this too has made no difference.

Surely there is a way to add additional templates to VS2012?

Yes, I understand your issue. And just as I mentioned in my initial reply I can reproduce your issue on my side, I can't find the "Local Database Cache" template either. Please submit one feedback on the Microsoft Connect site about it with the link I offered above.

I see this issue happened 3 months ago.

 

I just installed the Visual Studio 2012 Professional Edition "Trial Version" from your web site.

I did this so I could synchronize 2   SQL server databases.  However without the Local Database Cache template I cannot synchronize my databases.

Did you ever find a resolution to the problem where the Local Database Cache template is missing from the Visual Studio 2012 installation?

 

If so please provide me with the resolution.  Otherwise give me advice on how to open a case with Microsoft to find a fix as soon as possible.

i change the version vs 2010 to 2012, 

the template local database cache there is not.
