  • The database contains a table Strings that lists strings used throughout the database:

The Utilities module contains functions that let you use these strings in a message box. Here is an example of their usage:

    If Not MsgBoxYesNo(ChangeSupplierWarning) Then

This will display a message box with Yes and No buttons, and with text "Changing supplier will remove purchase line items, continue?". This string has ID 25. Using ChangeSupplierWarning in the code makes it much more readable than using 25 would have been:

    If Not MsgBoxYesNo(25) Then

By storing the strings in a table, they are much easier to maintain than if the code contained the actual strings, especially if they are used more than once.
