Help with database lookup fields using Dynamic Data Site and GridView RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I just started using Dynamic Data Site and GridView. So you can correct me at any time.
I have a database that contains a table of vendors, services and Vendors to Services ( VendorID, ServiceID ).
How can I change the gridview to lookup the services using th Vendor_Services table?
It appears the Gridview will automatically associate another table ( complaints) I have that is directly associated with the vendors this table contains the VendorID.

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Mike

  • Hi Mike,

This seems like a better question for the Dynamic Data forum , as it is more related to the display of data rather than LINQ to SQL itself.

My guess is that Dynamic Data doesn't automatically show you a list of entities in one-to-many or many-to-many relationships. You might be able to make your own tweaks to the page to show this data, but you would have to confirm that with the guys in the DD forum.

    Good luck,
    David
