Outlook 2010 Appointment Export Bug RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Outlook 2010, I have a daily recurring appointment which recurs on weekdays only, as "Every Weekday" radio selection is chosen in Appointment Recurrence dialog.

In my Outlook calendar, the appointment only displays Mon - Fri, and does not appear for Saturday and Sunday.

However, when I export my calendar data (File > Open > Import, etc.) and include the weekend dates in the range, appointments are included for the weekend events as well.

Thoughts? Can others reproduce this apparent bug?

    Thanks.

  • export as ics, delete events in calendar and later import - everything is fine.

  • Damian, that doesn't help me at all.

I need to be able to export in CSV format. Can anyone else advise as to this apparent Outlook 2010 bug?

  • Create an event which recurs on each weekday (M - F). Export calendar data.

Notice that events are also created on weekend days (Sat and Sun).

  • yes, i can reproduce it - if you export as simple txt file then information about days to skip (here: weekends) is lost but if you export as pst, this info is preserved. If this is a bug or by design, i do not know. Someone with more knowledge should chime in on this.
