Azure table storage account output property names are lowercase RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

When writing the output of the Stream query to an Azure Table Storage account the table property names are all lowercase except for Partition Key and Row Key.

    SELECT
           'Test Data' AS MyColumnOne,
           'More Test Data' AS MyColumnTwo,
           Source.Row AS RowKey,
           PartitionKey AS PartitionKey
    INTO
       testsource
    FROM
       testoutput

Column name in storage table is mycolumnone instead of MyColumnOne. Can the column names be output in camelcase?

    Thanks

  • This is less than ideal since column names in Azure Storage Tables are case sensitive which means we have to either write our class property names as lowercase(not an option) or rewrite the ReadEntity method of the TableEntity class.

  • Will there be a change to this ever?  Not in 1.5+ years.  I am trying to replace custom code with analytic jobs and this is quite troubling.

  • You supposedly can set a compatibility level to make this work.
