Capturing raw data (angles, positions) and exporting those RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello helpfull Kinect developers,

I (Student of biomedical engineering) am currently evaluating the possibility to use the Kinect in healthcare applications (telerehabilitation). To check the needed accuracy of the Kinect sensor I need to export raw data (preferable angles between joints or alternative the joint positions X,Y,Z). I tried to code such a programm in C#, but my coding abilities are very limited to be honest and therefore I could hardly verify the sensor accuracy when my programm is not accurate.

I read about "kinectcapture" as already developed software but it seems that the project was discontinued and only avaible for Kinect V1.

Does anyone know an easy and accurate way to capture the needed data?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    With best regards,

  • You can check this one out. Shows how you can do a capture and playback from a WPF application. This way as well as KinectStudio won't record angles but it will record joint positions for the full skeleton. So you can calculate them on playback.
