Interested in Coded UI Testing RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are interested in performing an evaluation of the Coded UI Test functionality within Visual Studio.  Which trial version should we download Visual Studio, Express, Test Professional?  Our evaluation would be conducted on a Windows 7 workstation.

We could also use informaion on the resource technical requirements to manage and convert our present ITest to this new tool.  If anyone has done any studies on the time it takes to convert test questions databases would also be a big help.

  • Hello IA,

    Thank you for your post.

If you want to do Coded UI test with Windows 7, you can use Ultimate and Premium version of VS2010 and VS2012.

For more information, please see “Testing tools” section in the following links:

    http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/en-gb/products

    http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/products/compare

In addition, I did some research about ITest. It seems that it is the 3rd party. For managing and converting ITest to VS, I suggest that you can consult it on the ITest web site(http://itest.sourceforge.net/ ).

    Thank you for your undersdanding.

    Best regards,
