  • hi 
    i have still problems with kinect2 and looking forward for a solution
    have a notebook Thinkpad Lenevo W540 and have a warning at the USB /// bandwidth issues
    is there mb a solution to put a pcmci USB card into the notebook ?
    Would like to use the kinect2 for Motioncapturing via Brekel.com /// and doesnt realy work, like the kinect1
    same issue with the application vvvv ( http;//vvvv.org )
    any idea ???

  • I am not aware of one that works. Even if the card has the chipset the limiting factor is going to be how that express card port is wired into the main motherboard. If it is not on a PCI Express 2.0 bus by itself, you run the risk of sharing resources.

    When using a laptop always make sure you boot the system when connected to power. Running of battery can cause the system to run in low resource mode and throttle the system speed.

  • I have a W530, does your Kinect v2 work with the samples?  On my W530, I had to go into the BIOS settings and change the USB3 settings (cant remember from what to what - think it was something like from 'Auto' to 'On' or something)...once I did that didn't have any problems using the v2 Kinect.
