  • Unfortunately Live Translator http://translator.live.com/Default.aspx doesn't have an API that we could interact with. It can be done through parsing the HTML web page though, which could be done in JavaScript or Dapper.

  • I concur. To be truly useful, it would be great if we could call a web service / API to translate content in our application.

  • Yahoo! Pipes has a Translate module; so you could create a Y! Pipe and invoke is from your Popfly mashup.

Here is a simple example Popfly mashup that translates an English phrase into Spanish: http://www.popfly.com/users/LOTONtech/EnglishToSpanish

And here is the Y! Pipe which it invokes to do the translation: http://pipes.yahoo.com/lotontech/englishspanish

    I hope this helps,
