Dynamically adding columns to pivot task output RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working with this gigantic ssis package. There are pivot tasks returning over 100 columns etc. Is there a way to add the 100 columns to the pivot output, I have the list of columns and their column type and their maxlength and the source column and their keys in an excel spreadsheet but it takes me over 20 minutes just to configure the task hoping I don't make a mistake during mouse clicks.

I have the similar issue with script components adding outputs to them and also mapping the input and output columns in oledb destinations, over 500 columns I need to map and I have the source and destination columns mapped in an excel spreadsheet but my only option is to mouse click and map them to the right columns in between the selection combo box for the columns is looonngg. Unfortunately I cannot bring these columns named properly from the source to have them mapped automatically.

    Thank you.
