    SQL server can only be installed on Windows Operating system.You can install VMWARE on Linux( not sure how much feasible ) and then can install Windows OS and then SQL server.

  • Saeid I think question is about can user install SQL server client, means management client tools on Linux machine .AFAIK its not possible.

    Whats you provided is driver to connect to linux

    Shanky_621, i am looking for connnectivity from Linux machine to SQl Server(databases) on windows server using sqlcmd or any options from Linux machine. I think need to install support drivers first, then test the connectivity.

    If above is the case then you can use it.But you cannot install SQL server client on Linux
