report uses all my RAM RRS feed

  • Hello
I've made a small forms program that i use to print labels. The program has a local report that uses external images that I load when generating the labels.

The problem is that the report grows enormously, consuming about 2gb ram each time we generate a report (2-3000 labels). The program is in a shared environment and I don't want the program to hog all the resources. Are there any ways to go about this problem.

    1. Can you somhow compress the external images in code, before linking them into the report?
    2. Could you somhow send the report directly to a printer, without first allocating this amount of ram from the system?
    3. Are there any other tricks to make the report consume less memory?
