No modules listed among objects and yet modules exist!

Question
-
When I compile my ACCDB, it finds errors and opens the editor on modules. However when I am listing all the objects no modules are listed, only forms, queries, macros etc. but no modules. Where are these modules and why aren't they listed? This is Access 2010. First time I've come across this in 15 years working with Access!
Here's an interesting thing though. If I create another database and import objects from the original database, the modules ARE listed for selection. When I select them, it acts as though it has imported them and yet in the navigation pane they are nowhere to be seen. No modules listed and yet I KNOW they exist. What is going on?

I figured out how to hide/unhide objects:

Maybe you were a tad too adventurous and marked those modules as hidden?

No, it wasn't me. I've never seen them so how could I?
However, someone else may well have done this previously.
