Any idea why my EWS calls intermittently timeout? RRS feed

  • Has anyone else come across this issue?  I'm using our corporate Exchange services to test a potential new system feature where we'd be automatically importing messages sent via email but I'm getting timeouts from the Exchange Web Services.  It varies which method I get the timeout too for the same code.  Sometimes the GetItems() call times out and sometimes its Item.Load().  I think I've even had Item.Move() timeout.  But then I try it again later and it seems to work fine.  Sometimes the timeout will duplicate several tries in a row.  I've asked my administrators if they can find anything in the Event Log that would identify a problem but they haven't responded.  I was hoping that I could learn something here to point me to something specific to look for since, "hey guys can you tell if there is anything affecting EWS" doesn't help them much.
