ReportViewer in VS2010 - Static Menbers RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I almost solved the security migration so that the report can access a converter of another assembly.

And now I encountered another problem with static members I'm using in this converter.

The static member has been set before starting refreshing the report on debugging it is null.

Does this has something to to also with security violations? Then I don't know how to solve that.

It is working fine in Report Viewer 9 (VS2008).

    Please help.

  • How is the Report Viewer 2010 working?

Might be possible that the Report is running in another AppDomain?

Then I would understand why the content of the static member is diffenrent than ReportViewer running in VS2008.

However, I don't know waht to do now in VS2010.

    Hm.

  • Here it is confirmed what assumend:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee960138.aspx#Programmability

So, maybe this: IReportViewerMessages3 is the approach I need to find out now.

If not then I need to modify the method without using static members.

Or there is another way to send a constant value into the sandbox AppDomain where the ReportViewer 2010 is working.

    Good bye!
