    Question

  • I found there is always a small logo on the left bottom of tile notification.

    How to hide it?

  • In the binding element of the template, set the “branding” attribute to “none” (or “name” if you want the text name of the app):

            var binding = tileXml.getElementsByTagName("binding");

            binding[0].setAttribute("branding", “none”);

  • Thanks.

    May I extend the question?
    Is it possible to hide the small logo on only one of the tiles in a peek template?

    I'd like to include the small logo on the text tile but hide it on the image tile.

  • No, the two parts of the peek template are all one template, so the branding applies to both.

  • Thanks again.
    I've switched to "name" for the branding attribute as I like the consistency.

    The examples in fig 22.3 on page 543 of "Windows 8 Apps With XAML and C#" by Adam Nathan were the reason I asked the question. They're probably just poorly edited screenshots. :P
