WSAEINVAL on a winsock connect - non-blocking socket RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I got a
    WSAEINVAL error on a winsock connect. What does it means? Documentation tells that is it related to invalid argument.

    Here is what I do in my code (pseudocode):

    1.create socket (create())
    2.set non-blocking mode (ioctlsocket)
    3. connect to the server (connect()
    4. if I got a socket error from connect, with WSAEWOULDBLOCK error
        4.1 watch activity on the socket (select () with a write fdset)
        4.2 When select return, I redo de socket connection and I RECEIVE THE WSAEINVAL HERE

    Any idea ?
