ExternalSettingsManager.GetWritableSettingsStore()

    Question

  • Hi,

    I am using VS 2017 to develop. Now I am facing the below issue:

    I use the ExternalSettingsManager.GetWritableSettingsStore() to write keys into registry because VS 2017 removed most of the keys. But when I want to write under config(ex: 15.0_Config) with GetWritableSettingStor(SettingsScrop.Configuration), I got the error: Value does not fall within the expected range.

    Could anyone help me give me some suggestion about this? Thanks in advance!

  • Would love to hear this is possible, but I am afraid the configuration settingsstore is read-only (afaik)

    For now, I'm using the RegLoadAppKey function to load the private registry hive.
