  • SpecFlow takes gherkin and creates unit test from them. In the higher edition of SpecFlow you can write your gherkin statements in Microsoft Excel and SpecFlow will write your unit test methods.

What we do is construct gherkin in Team Foundation Server under a task under a story for a feature set then feed them to SpecFlow which in turn creates unit test methods.

So, SpecFlow assist with unit test method creation. Either you write unit test methods all yourself or allow SpecFlow to assist writing unit test methods.
