Could someone please help me figure out the color name or number for the attached picture? 

I have been struggling for a while and about to give up.

I think you could search keywords "Color Picker" on google and you will find lots of resource to do that.

For example, one of free image color picker websites is https://image-color.com/. The operation steps are the followings

• For the image you gave, the url is:  https://i.imgur.com/I9wJ19w.png
• Paste the url of the image in the input text box
• Click upload
• Pick any place on the image and the color information will be produced.

When you are searching for the image picker websites, please always bear in mind that you should check the safety of the websites first.

After the safety checking, you could upload the image or paste the url of the image to check the color of the image.

Adding to Sean's reply:  That is not a color.  It's a gradient over a range of colors.
