HIPAA 5010 Errata Schema Availability RRS feed

  • Question

  • When will the 5010 schema's based on TR3 Type1 will be released.

    Right now the 997 generated for 5010 files still is 4010 format, is there any fix or update to be released for BizTalk Server 2009/2010.

    If any one from Microsoft throw some light on the availability of the 5010 TR3 schema it will be very much helpful.

  • Cumulative update package 2 for BizTalk Server 2009

    New features
    • HIPAA 5010 Errata Schemas included

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2497794

    Verified that the Cumulative update package 2 for BizTalk Server 2009 does include the 5010 errata schema updates, however there are certain elements renamed in the schemas which will affect your maps.

    Just a few examples from the X12_00501_837_P (not all):

    NM104_Pay_toFirstName -> NM104_NameFirst
    NM105_Pay_toMiddleName -> NM105_NameMiddle
    NM103_AmbulancePick_upLocationName -> NM103_NameLastorOrganizationName
    REF_SubLoop_8 -> REF_SubLoop_9

  • Hi,

       Currently there is no plan for releasing Hipaa 5010 errata schemas. It will be good to talk from your support of Microsoft to give this request to Microsoft.

    Thanks

    Gyan

  • Hey, did you see the BizTalk 2009 cumulative update (CU) 1? It had a fix for the 5010 support: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2429050.

    Q1 probably means BizTalk 2009 CU 2 but I am just guessing..

    Thanks,

  • Ben,

    It's not about the CU, 5010 Errata Schemas has to be provided both for 2009 and 2010.

  • Sathish - we were able to deploy the 5010 errata into BT 2010 and it worked successfully.  True, there is some tweaking with the maps, but nothing too complicated.  The new mapper in VS 2010 is extremely flexible and intelligent.  We are testing various 270/276/278/835 transactions and they are working successfully with the errata.

    Thanks, Mark

  • Mark,

    Just for my interest for Biztalk 2010, have you been able to test the new 5010 errata for the 837 D,  837 P, and 837 I?

    I thought that Biztalk might be looking for the Errata Version Codes that are in the GS08 separate from the schema's? Is this true?

    As far as the other 5010's, you said they work, thats great to know. What tweaking are you talking about, I am new to Biztalk and am not sure what you may mean?

    Thanks much,

    Chris

  • Do we need a separate hotfix for Biztalk 2010? Or is there a way to get the schema out of this and use it on 2010?

  • We are also looking for the updated 5010 schemas for Biztalk 2010.   Have they been released?  If so, where can we find them?

    Thanks.

  • I have BTS 2010 installed on win2008 r2 (64 bit). I was able to compile all the 5010 edi schemas except 835. I keep getting schema cant be loaded within vs2010.

    I have applied the BTS 2010 CU2 as of today. But the problem still remains. How can i fix this?

    Thanks.

  • Did you apply the CU1 update for BizTalk Server 2010. This update included updates to 5010 schemas.

  • no did not.. the website instructions mentioned that CU2 takes care of CU1..

    so i followed Bill Osuch's blog entry,

    http://geekswithblogs.net/bosuch/archive/2011/03/29/biztalk-server---microsoft-has-released-hipaa-5010-errata-schema.aspxBTS

    Looks like BTS 2010 install and even CU2 does not install proper 5010 erratas.

  • @Kakko72,

    This blog entry link doesn't open up . However for resolving your problem I think you should try installing the CU1 .
