Starting my application automatically RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to write an application for a friend that will start automatically when Windows XP Pro boots.

The application is very straightforward - 3 buttons and a web browser control. The caveat is the users must not have access to the start button, start menus or any other applications on the system. Also, when the application exits the computer needs to shut down.

I am using Visual Basic 2005 Express.

    Thanks,

    Mark

  • It sounds like you are wanting a kiosk type application. Search for Visual Studio Kiosk and you should be able to find plenty. Here's a link to one such hit:
