Export database to blob storage not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have three databases on one Azure SQL Server. I can successfully export two of the databases to blob storage but the third does not. An empty blob is created but nothing further. There are also no errors I can find. What else can I try?

    Thanks.

  • It turns out that if you have a view that references a deleted table (no schemabinding) then this is enough to break azure sql export.

I would suggest that some sort of error reporting in the SQL Azure portal would go a long way to helping with this.

  • What are the used sizes of the 3 databases in question? Specifically the one which does not work?

  • They are all very small (<50 MB)
