When the thread is working, i don't want the user could edit the content "cc" , "to", "subject", "document editor".

  • Hello,

The Outlook object model doesn't provide any property or method for this.

However, you can develop a form region (or a custom form) and replace the entire inspector content. I.e. you will be able to disable controls at runtime depending on your business logic.

  • Why not display a modal dialog and start your thread from that dialog? Once the thread finishes, you can close the dialog.

The parent window of an Outlook inspector can be retrieved by casting the Inspector object to IOleWindow and calling IOleWindow.GetWindow().
