SSRS 2016 Browser - Manage Individual Subscriptions task does not work RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a user that has a system user and  Browser Role permission but she cannot create a subscription. If I give her the content manager role then she can create a subscription. Any idea what is going on or I am doing wrong. I don't want to giver her a content manager Role.

This is all I want to give it to her at the item level task:

Browser Role Item Users who are assigned to this role can run reports, subscribe to reports, and navigate through the folder structure

  • Hi Giss68

According to your description, what your issue really is?

Couldn’t see the subscription tab? Or got error when create subscription ?

What the detailed error you meet when you create subscription ?

If you want to grant the user with other permission ,which the permission  is not in browser but exist in content manager.

You could create a new role for reporting service in ssms .

See more at : SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 Permissions

Add the all browser’s permission to the new role and try to add other permission (the manage data source permission , probably) to check if the user could create subscription or not .

    Hope it can help you.
