Data Factory HTTP Linked Service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using Microsoft Azure Data Factory for a project.I have to use HTTP Linked Service for accessing remote data server to import data.I have created a certificate in Azure Key Vault. I am facing following issues while creating http linked service:

1.When i select Embedded Data in Certificate Location Type, what is Embedded Certificate Data and how to get it?

2.I have Azure Key Vault Linked Service for this purpose.I couldn't figure out how to get Secret name?

3.If i choose Certificate Password  instead of Azure Key Vault, How can i find the password?

4.If i want to use Thumbprint as Certificate Location Type, i have to enter the certificate thumbprint in the next field.Whenever, i enter the thumbprint of the certificate in Azure Key Vault, it gives "Failed to find certificate with thumbprint ............................................. from LocalMachine/My store" error.

    Looking for help/suggestions.

  • ADF does not support referencing certificate in Azure key vault now.

This doc Using ClientCertificate authentication explains how to use certificate authentication for HTTP linked service.

    Hope it helps.

  • If I choose "authenticationType" : "ClientCertificate" and "embeddedCertData":<cert>, where should I store the privateKey so that DF founds it when executing TLS handshake for client authentication?
