  • Question

  • I have a SSRS chart in which I need to display sometime values upto 2 decimal point sometimes need to show the data with 1000 separator without having any decimal places.

If i use Number with 1000 separator with 2 decimal places my o/p will be like this:

Please let me know if I can use any custom formatting so that based on the data both the 2 options will be possible to implement.

    Thanks

  • Hi Saikat,

From your description, I am not very clear about your meaning of saying conditonal format. Let's take your screenshot as the example, are the value (Vertical Axis) fields in the two charts the same field? If not, you can specify different custom formats of number for the two chart separately:

For the left chart, set the custom format to "#,###", then the numeric values display like 4,670 and 9,340; for the right chart, set the custom format to "0.##", then the numeric values display like 0.25 and 0.5.

If they are the same field, you can set the number format like the following expression:

    =IIF(Sum(Fields!SalesAmount.Value)>1, "#,###", "0.##")

If I have anything misunderstood, please feel free to correct me.
