    i cant see the save to sharepoint option in a power pivot workbook...

    any idea y??

    from some reason user has to first open some excel workbook from the target powerpivot gallery in sharepoint only then would the save as sharepoint option

    show in his powerpivot excel workbook next time he open's it...

    Why???

  • In the regular Excel window (not the Power Pivot window) if you go to the File tab in the ribbon, you should see Save to SharePoint under Save & Send in Excel 2010 or under Save As in Excel 2013.

    Alternately, you could go into the SharePoint library, aupload a new document, browse to its location, and upload the file from SharePoint instead of saving to SharePoint from Excel.

  • Thanks i guess uploading from moss would work of course

    but i cant understand why the save as to sharepoint is not visible under the file -> save as menu...

  • Thanks but i don't think this is the case we are using

    excel 2013 pro on a windows 2008 r2 server

    usually the save to sharepoint option is there but one user (my boss...)

    can not see it....
