Proposed New Time Details of a meeting in Outlook 2010 using VSTO RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have created a custom meeting form region. We need to show how many recipients sent the new proposed time for the meeting. How to get these information, when we open that meeting from the calendar. I am using Outlook 2010 and VSTO.

    Thanks & Regards,

  • Hello Vijay,

You can add a user property to the appointment item (meeting) where you can record a new proposed time counter. Thus, the field on the form region can be associated with a user property. To track the new proposed time you can handle the NewMailEx event of the Application class. The NewMailEx event fires when a new message arrives in the Inbox and before client rule processing occurs. You can use the Entry ID returned in the EntryIDCollection array to call the NameSpace.GetItemFromID method and process the item. Use this method with caution to minimize the impact on Outlook performance.
