  • I am using Ajax control(Update Panel) in my web page(ASP.Net 2.0) and putting Report Viewer(Sql Server Reporting Services 2005) Control in it.

     

    When I am displaying any report it is coming ,But Report Viewer Toolbar is not working Ex Print Command Button and if I try to move to next page I am getting error “The source of the report definition has not been specified

    and this report is Server Report not LocalReport

  • This is issue is resolved...I wanna share you if you have Button on updatepanel and reportviewer is also in same panel then you have to attach postbacktrigger event for button control .

  • "The source of the report definition has not been specified"

    We are facing the same problem, but the strange thing is we are NOT getting this error when we run the web application from my local machine, we are able to see the reports from aspx page which has updatepanel and reportviewer control... but when we do check-in code to TFS (Team Foundation Server), we are getting this error.
