System 5 error

    Question

  • I'm receiving a "system 5 error" when trying to mount my Azure storage. I confirmed there are no proxy or port issues. Also running the "connect" script from your site to ensure accuracy.

  • To clarify: Are you trying to mount your Azure file shares (file storage) from outside of Azure Datacenter via SMB 3.0.?

    1. Can you share the snapshot of the error message?
    2. Are you referring to any documents?

    There is similar error code thread on stack overflow error; Please refer to those suggestions and let know the status of the issue.

    Note: port 445 must be open. If you're trying it inside of Azure, it should work (depending on the region and OS version) and make sure firewall allows traffic across port 445 AND your ISP
