Fatal error during installation. Error Code: 0x80070643 Help! RRS feed

  • I'm having a really hard time figuring this error out and I can't seem to find a solution. So, I need your help guys.

    Here's my log file:

  • The log reveals that you have a registry access problem:

    Returning IDOK. INSTALLMESSAGE_ERROR [Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{3C3901C5-3455-3E0A-A214-0B093A5070A6}. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel. ]

    If you are absolutely sure you are running the standalone installer with an account that has full administrative access. then try the suggestions in the answer in this thread.
