You could actually get away with using VS Professional. that has all the templates in it and I think its cheaper.

    Hello,

Oops.. i had downloaded VS 2012 for windows desktop, i think that was the reason i could not see Asp.net template.

    Get Visual Studio for web.

If i get vs2012 ultimate, will the issue resolve....

    Of course, yes.

Or, here is another thing to try: http://amcrouch.blogspot.com/2012/05/visual-studio-2012-missing-project.html

It references Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0, this should be 11.0

"After some digging on the interweb I found the answer is to close Visual Studio and then navigate to your Visual Studio install directory (c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\) and then locate the devenv.exe. For me the full path was c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE.

Once there in a Visual Studio Command Prompt you need to run the following :

    devenv /installvstemplates

It will take a couple of minutes to finish but once done you can fire up Visual Studio and all the default templates will be available."

If that didn't do it, I would try a repair of VS2012 and if that doesn't do it then uninstall/reinstall.
