UAC is not working as intended. What's the problem? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I've been using Win 7 pro on my new work computer for about a month, but I didn't notice this problem until yesterday. I used to have an administrator account(not the built in one) but I changed it to standard user a while ago because I have to share the computer with another guy. Now here comes the problem: this standard user can run many programs that should required administrative privileges. It can change most of the computer settings in control panel, it can even promote itself to be administrator. I tried to delete the account and create a new standard user account, but it's just the same. Please anyone help me! Thank you.
