VM Backup while is offline.

Question

Hello team,

We have a group off VMs that only owrk for 12 hours (7am to 7PM), then are offline (dealocated). If i enable the Backup option form Azure, it will still backp the entire VM, including VHDs, NIC settings, etc? The Backup that we want to configure will be a Daily one with 7 day retention starting at 1am.

When the VM is stopped (Deallocated), the storage does not go away, and the backup continues to work.
