BizTalk 2016 configuration error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I need your suggestion/help regarding the error I have been facing while configuring BizTalk 2016 on SQL 2016(Stand Edition,SP2 - CU5). I have done the configuration many times successfully but not this one.

    While configuring BizTalk that uses a separate SQL server it throws the below error from the configuration log file(Especially the logs marked red is where it fails):

    [7:20:34 AM Info SSOServerCfg] (ssoconfigobj2.cpp:7144) SQL Server: Server1

    [7:20:34 AM Info SSOServerCfg] (ssoconfigobj2.cpp:6249) CSSOServerCfg::ConfigureRegistry

    [7:20:34 AM Info SSOServerCfg] (ssoconfigobj2.cpp:6010) CSSOServerCfg::ConfigureDatabase

    [7:20:34 AM Info SSOServerCfg] (ssoconfigobj2.cpp:6016) ISSOConfigDB::GetDBInfo

    [7:20:34 AM Info SSOServerCfg] (ssoconfigobj2.cpp:6041) ISSOConfigDB::CreateDatabase

    [7:21:09 AM Info SSOServerCfg] (ssoconfigobj2.cpp:1316) RollbackAccount: 0x00000000 (0)

Source="SSO" HelpID=""/></Exception></Exception>

    Please assume that:

    1. The account used has all the required permissions(Local admin, Sysadmin on sql and part of the required AD groups).
    2. DTC is configured properly on both BizTalk and SQL server.
    3. These two servers are Azure VM's and joined to my company's domain. There is no firewall.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    Regards

  • Hi,

    This problem has been fixed. We found that our SQL server(where BizTalk databases are suppose to be hosted) was quite slow in it's response.

    You could just try to create a dummy database and check the time taken for the database to be created. In my case it took 34 seconds which was fairly slow.

    BizTalk configuration was just timing out. After fixing the SQL server performance issue, I was able to configure BizTalk successfully.

    Hope this helps if someone come across this issue.
