Coded ui test failing with "Strong name validation failed." error. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running a coded ui test using Test Agent Update 3 (mstest.exe) on an XP machine running service pack 3.  I am getting a  "Strong name validation failed." error.  Is there a workaround for this problem?  See details below:

Error calling Initialization method for test class CodedUITestProject2.CodedUITest5: System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITest.Extension.CrossBrowser, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies.
