WCFCalls & frame TCP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

For sticky/persistence session needs, we have to add an information inside TCP frame of WCF calls. We are using NetTcp protocol.

The goals is to add an option/header in each TCP frame of WCF calls. The only solutions I have found call our design into question like using http protocol instead of NetTcp or using directly socket instead of WCF.

Is it possible ? Have you some ideas ?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Badaire,

Have you tried using an IClientMessageInspector WCF component?

Implementeing this interface you can add custom headers when consuming a WCF Service, even if you are using net.tcp binding.

Here you have a complete example: http://www.brendanwhelan.net/2013/wcf-custom-authentication-headers

  • Thanks for your answer.

    This article is very interesting.

But we have decided to modify our bindings to use NetHttpbinnding.

And good surprise, it is faster than NetTcp in our application configuration.
