SharePoint Layout JS & CSS files are not accessible on Random calls RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Recently we have moved Production Database to DR (Disaster Recovery) Location Database, and we have created new Web Application in DR SharePoint and attached newly created web application with copied database, now everything is working fine and more faster in DR Location but when we try to access DR SharePoint Web Application from Production Network it is taking long time to Load Layout JS & CSS Files and on same client machine one request loading faster with all js and css files but for other request it is taking more than 90 seconds and asking for username and password .

Please note that both Production & DR Located in Same Country with WAN.

No Customization have been done on the Master Pages, no Custom solutions deployed.

    Any help on this

    Regards, Ravikumar V

  • Hi Linda,

    Yes, issue resolved,

it was identified due to the less bandwidth allocation from DR site to end users because of that we were getting performance issue.

    Thanks,

    Ravi

  • Hi Ravikumar V,

You could use Fiddler to track the web session in your environment for finding what is the cause.

Try disabling loopback check to see if it can resolve the issue.

Here is a detail article about how to disable loopback check:

  • Hi,

I think your JS and CSS files still refer to the Prod environment, you can check whether the js/css files still using Prod environment's JS/Css instead of DR's.

    Thanks

  • Hi Jason,

    Thanks for the reply,

we have not added any static url references to JS & CSS. it is complete out of the box Portal and verified it is not pointing to PROD.
