Powershell v5 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear devs,

Is there any timeline known for when Powershell 5 will be supported in Azure Functions?

We are considering moving part of our current Azure Runbook to Azure Functions, but we're pretty dependant on Powershell 5 right now.

If I have a (very general is fine) timeline, I can set/manage expectations.

    Jos.

  • We will take a look into upgrading to PowerShell 5 in Feb 2017.  If all goes well, you should be able to see changes in Production in March 2017.

  • We ran into some issues with upgrading to PowerShell 5.0 in our system.  We need to investigate further and I will update this thread when we have more information.

  • Unfortunately, due to unexpected blockers with installing WMF 5.1 in our environment, we are unable to support PowerShell 5 in Azure Functions at the moment.  This issue is being tracked at https://github.com/Azure/Azure-Functions/issues/254
