Bad touch sensitivity browsing web pages on Windows 8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there, I'm running windows 8 64 bit on a Planar PCT2785 27" touch monitor, I went through the calibration process and overall the experience is not bad except for browsing web pages, I need to tap several times in order to get something click, I tried many websites, even on the Microsoft web page I need to tap 2, 3, sometimes 4 or 5 times in order to pull up a menu for the instance. I did the calibration many times and don't know what to do now.

Another issue, with combo boxes (drop-down lists), I cannot tap + hold and swipe to scroll through the list manually like I can do on the iPhone or Android phones, is that how it is supposed to work on Windows 8, to scroll in chunks instead of smoothly scroll the list when you swipe your finger?

    Any advise?

    Thank you

  • Hi Paul,

I have the same monitor and do not have the problems you describe. Tapping works the first time for me and swiping to scroll works smoothly. Your specific monitor may have a bad digitizer, but it's possible that there are some other settings that will help.
