How terminate proxy.Open() prematurely? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a simple WCF client with using netTCPBinding. Note, I'm using oneway="true".

If the WCF server isn't running and I start the client program, the client spends a lot of time during call proxy.Open(). I don't know how can I reduce this time. I need it for the possibility of termination of the client program without many-second waiting.

I know the proxy.Open() is the blocking call. I have tried call proxy.Abort() from other thread but it doesn't terminate the proxy.Open().

Please, how can I exit the program without many-second waiting due to waiting for completion of the function call?
