I'm using a local file based database in visual studio 2013 solution. I used server explorer to edit the database. After I built my solution, I couldn't open anymore the database. I got the following error: "The logical database file '..._log.ldf' cannot be found.Specify the full path for the file...An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file '....mdf' failed.

    Hi Daniel,

Maybe it is damaged ,I suggest that you  could create a new local database in server explorer, check if the new one work.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Daniel,
From my point,The answer is yes, for your database has damaged ,so you will lose all the data in the current database.

I suggest that you should first check if the file still exist in the folder.
If not ,please create a new one.

    Best Regards,
    Kevin Shen.
