HP Envy 11-g010nr: Touchpad: STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE - This device cannot start. (Code 10) RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • The HP Envy 11-g010nr is a tablet with a detachable keyboard+battery+touchpad unit.  The keyboard and additional battery work fine, but the touchpad does not function.  When I run the automated "Troubleshooting" feature in the control panel, it acknowledges the issue and offers to 'Apply the fix'.  This is the message that is returned shortly after:

I've downloaded both drivers available on the manufacturer's website (http: //h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4131&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5330110#N267) and tried multiple driver disabling, reinstalling, updating, etc.  It always returns that the device is up to date.
